Company History

Founded in 1955 as a small machine shop serving local chemical processing companies, Balfor Industries became one of the earliest processors of fluoropolymer products and quickly developed into a leader in the design and manufacture of products for the valve, pump, and chemical processing industries. Today, Balfor is a privately owned company specializing in the design and production of a wide range of plastic products, with an ever-increasing number of industries serviced through both domestic and international sales and distribution channels. We pride ourselves in holding true the small company values while matching the production capacities of much larger organizations.

New Location, Improved Facility

In May of 2012, after nearly 60 years of manufacturing in the Bronx, Balfor relocated from New York to Oxford, Connecticut. Our new modern facility has enabled us to expand our molding operation and to manufacture in a more efficient building. We are excited about our new beginning and look forward to another 60 years of servicing the valve, pump, and chemical processing industries. We are proud to say that 100% of our products are made in the USA.

60th Anniversary

2015 marked Balfor’s 60th year of operation-- a landmark for a small American manufacturing company. We would like to thank our customers, suppliers, employees, friends, and family for their part in this remarkable run, for without their help our success and uninterrupted business would not have been possible.
